Internationally, polymer materials with O2 transmittances of less than 3.8cm3/(m2·24h·0.1MPa) are usually called high barrier polymer materials, mainly including resins and composite materials such as EVOH, PVDC, PA and PVA. In the field of food packaging, high barrier plastic packaging materials have developed rapidly in recent years, and are gradually replacing metal, glass and other materials, of which high barrier packaging films are the most widely used.

Performance characteristics

The inner layer material is usually PP, PE, soft PVC, etc., which has high safety and can provide good heat sealing for composite packaging
The outer material is usually PET, cellophane, etc., which has good heat resistance and dimensional stability
Materials containing functional layers such as PA, EVOH, PVA and aluminum foil play a role in improving barrier resistance, impact resistance and high strength.
